Here is my providential interview (part 1) with a French man:

(I enter the room, smiling like silly and stupid and clueless and wasted)

I: ahaha, non! Je ne parle pas français!

M: er, vous parlez un peu français?

I: Ah non! Ma soeur travaille dans le ee-beh-ehm, et elle veux que je travaille la.

I: non…

M: hmm, qui avec toi? (points outside)

I: ah, mon… uh… ami. mon special ami. uh, boyfriend.

M: oui, et… il parle français?

I: uh, non, mais, il parle un peu chinois!

M: oooh. d’accord! mandarin ou foukien?

I: uh… je ne sais pas.

I: er, je suis professeur dans L’University de Philipin.

I: uh…

M: Avez-vous assister à des cours de français?

I: ah, oui?

M: Combien du temps?
